Almost two months and still nothing to say...

...but here are a few pictures of what we've been up to lately - the park, the petting zoo and other miscellaneous things...

Allie is now completely weaned (has been for the past week or so) - which she did all on her own, and she's almost walking on her own (if only she'd just let go of the last finger she grabs on to more!) - we know she can do it because she walks between the two of us every night.....  Her favourite song at the moment is 'if you're happy and you know it, clap your hands' - singing it to her almost always guarantees a smile, giggle and some clapping .

Where has the year gone?

It's hard to believe that today our little girl is ONE YEAR OLD  !  Last year at this time...oh, yes, I was still in labour......

It's amazing to see how much she's changed in the last year...

I love these verses...

"Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God that He may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon Him for He careth for you."

~ 1 Peter 5:6-7

Or,as JB Phillips puts it:

"So humble yourselves under God's strong hand and in His own good time He will lift you up.  You can throw the whole weight of your anxieties upon Him for you are His personal concern."

~ 1 Peter 5:6-7

 A new post...

...but not much to post about.  Allie has cut another tooth (#9) and has another one on the way, so for my birthday last week she fussed and fussed (that was the worst tooth cutting day).  Lovely.  She has also gotten way more active in the last little bit, no longer content to crawl around she wants to be up and on the go - climbing stairs, walking with her little car, walking holding on to our fingers, standing up and getting into anything that is her height.  Now, not all of this is new, but the speed with which she does it and the frequency have increased.  Allie also doesn't really nap much...I think that an hour and a half a day is a good day.  So much for getting lots done!

Since she was born, I have had countless opinions on which side of the family Allie takes after.  It's interesting to hear what people think - some say she looks exactly like a Robinson, some say she looks exactly like a Hibbs and others say she is a mix (the funny part is when they give one opinion one week and a different one the next )...honestly though, except in some pictures and with certain expressions I can't really say who she looks like.  She just looks like Natalie to me.  But, she most definitely (in my biased opinion) looks like a girl (and I try to dress her to look like a girl), so I was quite surprised when, on Sunday (we were at a different ecclesia than usual), someone came up to Stephen (who was holding Natalie) and commented on how "he looks just like Daddy.....what a good little boy" .  And this was all because she was wearing a blue dress...but it was a dress (which did have little pink flowers on it) and she was clutching on to her trusty pink blanket.  Ah well, people are funny and make life more interesting .
